Blue mountain has seen better days. Upon first arrival there was pink foam from the AC unit all over our bedroom floor, they hadn't washed the bathroom you could tell by the used towel on the curtain rod, there was a coffee pot without a coffee maker, no toaster (all of this was mentioned in the room details). Their pools and hot tubs could use some renovating. All staff were very helpful with getting this fixed but when your paying this kind of money this should not happen. It felt like anytime we went to use something it wasn't there. Some light bulbs we're dead and not replaced. It's the little things in my opinion that really make a hotel aim for the 5 star stay. It's nice how close you are able to stay to the main area and there is a lot of fun things to do. I would go back but only if there was a deal going on.
Nice place for kids and to spend money. Could not find any halal options. Enjoyed fish and chips at wild wings. If you have a strong heart walk the trail straight up and save $8/person. Or take gondola one way at least. The putting golf is fun.
Blue Mountain is an excellent little ski resort with a surprising number of all year round activities. I actually went just to climb the hill and was pleasantly surprised to find they were hosting an Oktoberfest festival going on. There were a few games and alright food and drink available. I enjoyed the yodeling from the live entertainment. Even though it was the off season, it was very busy and we were lucky to find a parking spot. The open top gondola line up was incredibly busy as well with over a half hour wait time. We climbed the village way hiking trail and the cascade with cascade being noticeably more difficult. I didn't do any of the mountain biking this trip though it certainly looked like a lot of fun though a bit on the pricey side. That describes Blue Mountain in general though.
It's about two hours trip from Toronto. We went to Blue Mountain Village in September and it was amazing. It's a very small village with nice short building. There is different type of activities there, there is live music, Bag-jump, mini Golf, open-air gondola and many more. We tried open-air gandola and it was amazing. It was about 5/10 minutes trip to get up there with a very stunning view and the ticket for this was about 16$ per person and you can get back down with the same ticket. It's short but it's worth it. There is bunch of good restaurants and shops there too. I loved the environment and I'll go there again to try other activities. Highly recommended :)
Gorgeous manicured grounds. Clean suites/rooms and comfortable beds. Plenty of night life fun. Tons of amenities. Great sized pool well kept but could use a bigger hot tub for the number of potential users. Went for bachelor party but equally good for a family trip, or couple retreat. Would love to come back!
