Everyone raves about Scandinave Spa, but I honestly didn't think it lived up to the hype. The massage I had was great.. but unlike other spas, you only get an hour window to use the other amenities before you have to leave. I understand it is a busy location, but I could pay the same price somewhere else, and get a whole day of relaxation. There's also a lot of trees and greenery which makes it pretty and feel secluded, but there were soo many leaves and debris in the hot tubs/pools. Eucalyptus steam rooms are my favourite parts of spas that offer them.. but again, I found this one lacking. Like other reviewers.. I really recommend they find a better robe system than pinning a number to it. It really got in the way, and people still managed to take my robe twice on accident. I also didn't like how often staff told you to shush. I understand you want to create a relaxing atmosphere.. but I found the constant shushing stressful. Even if it wasn't someone in my group.. we'd be hearing another party getting scolded.

Relaxing baths & saunas in a tranquil setting, open year-round. Easy to spend several hours to half a day lounging and enjoying the facilities. Some suggested things to bring: wet area footwear, bathrobe, water bottle, and a book. They can supply bathrobes (for a cost). Nice that it's a phone-free zone & no photos allowed. You can get food is basic (nothing special). Arrive well in advance and expect a waiting list.

This is a place to be quiet and enjoy the silence. It is so common to embrace noise and loudness, to be expressive, and party with friends. This is a place to do the opposite, where you are silent and just enjoy the company of each other. Be mindful. Shh. Relax. Silence: When reading reviews, you're going to see people complain about the silence enforcement. This is especially an issue when it is busy because the more people the more loud we get. But it is especially a problem if you think you have a right to be the exception to the rules. In the first moment you go from hot to cold, you'll have an impulse to be loud. That's fine, be mindful of that. Accept that you might be loud and intrusive to others.Timing:The best piece of advice is to REALLY try to go in off-hours. Pay attention to the reviews talking about wait times - it's a real issue. While their twitter feed is great to monitor the status, you'll probably be fine if you go in off season or a week day. If that seems like a dire inconvenience to you, then you've forgotten that you aren't the exception to rules: everyone wants to go on the weekend or days off. For those who have never been:You might think it is not possible to spend an entire day here, I know I thought so. You'll realize how wrong that is in 1 hot and cold cycle, then a hammock nap, and book-reading by the fire-side and water-side, coupled with additional cycles. In short:Make a trip of it. Take a few week days off and go. Bring a swimsuit and a bag with your book and water bottle. You can rent a robe or even purchase a swimsuit here.

I was up at blue mountain for an overnight stay. Was gifted 2 passes to the Scandinave spa baths. It was such a treat. The staff was super friendly to start. They gave us an explanation of how to best utilize the spa. There were about 4 different baths varying temperatures From cold to hot. There are 2 sauna a steam room .. solariums and hammocks and lounging areas. It was super relaxing, refreshing and therapeutic. Every has to be quiet which is great not to have to hear obnoxiously loud talking. There's a snack bar if you get hungry and it offer healthy options. My sister and I spent over 3 hours there and we could've stayed a whole lot longer. It was a great place to spend the day.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary. The baths were nice and refreshing. We had booked a duo massage and it started off nice and the staff were friendly. As the massage got started, my husband and I could hear the massage therapists talking and laughing as they were giving the massage. It was very off putting and uncomfortable. The one massage therapist started pretending she had a tickle in her throat so she could take a drink but I could hear my therapist laughing. It was hard to relax after this or not think they were laughing about us... I doubt we will come here again.
