I will never suggest this restaurant to anyone. First off, service was terrible and drinks were not the quality we expected. After waiting over an hour and a half for our food, it came out ice cold. Our waitress asked me what do you want me to do about this ? I said make a new fresh one please and I sent it back. When I received the new meal the piece of shrimp that I had cut on my original plate was now on the new plate. I know for sure that they just reheated it and brought it back out within 3 mins! How does a steak and shrimp get cooked in less then 3 mins? We then were brought our dessert menus and our waitress did not return to take our dessert order so after waiting 40 mins with our dessert menus on the table I asked the bar tender for our bills. Nothing was discounted and the waitress was miserable. We will never go back.
Our food was delicious! I had the shrimp linguine for dinner. Our waitress was fantastic. The only downfall for the night was when our plates were being distributed to the table. Not only did she not know who ordered which dish, but she handed me a hot plate which I had to touch with my bare hands. Mind you she was holding a piece of cloth to protect her own hands from the hot plate. Im not sure why she didnt just go around the table to be closer to the designated spot. Otherwise, everything else was perfect!
Service is okay, friendly but jeans is not an appropriate attire for what seems to be a better restaurant than it is. The appetizers were okay, Calamari was drowning in oil, chef needs to figure out a drizzle is much more appetizing to the palate. Then I ordered short ribs, it was fatty and not edible.... wait staff was quick to make an excuse for the meat rather than remove the food immediately and get me something else on the fly. Then I ordered the surf and turf medium rare, half the steak was rare and inedible and lacked seasoning both on the steak and the bland shrimp. This was apparently a new menu, it still needs help. Being all over the world and have a culinary background. This was mediocre to say the least.
Great place to eat inside the Westin Hotel if you are visiting the Blue Mountain Village. Nice menu selection and casual atmosphere with modern decor. Very good childrens menu. Great views of the pond and village with a nice patio in the summer months. Reasonably priced. I give this one five stars.
Terrible service. Waited more than an hour for food. Food came out cold. Sent back to kitchen they brought back the same plate reheated. Nothing on the bill was comp'd. First and last time I'll be going to an O&B restaurant.
