Previous owner was personable, kept store well stocked and clean. New owners have little selection, and very overpriced $12 for a pound of butter! Store has more of a variety store feel to it now. Also staff don't seem friendly
Terrible rip off to trap desperate travelers! Food that should be kept cold felt warm in the refrigerator section. Selection was terrible. I bought a few snacks, some pasta and sauce, eggs, butter, hot dogs and cheese. $135
Way overpriced and not adequately stocked. Went in to buy a toothbrush for $5, usually priced around $1.50-$2, and noticed Nescafe instant coffee $15.99???!! The guy at the register was not friendly at all, no receipt offered nor given.
Why would they be out of stock of almost everything on the busiest weekends of the year? How can you not have things like olive oil, eggs, and bacon? You know every single year, after Christmas, it will be extremely busy. But every single year, they always run out. Whoever manages their supply needs a reality check.
Several better choices nearby. Try Circle K on 26. Big selection, LCBO and hot food. Or door dash and Uber deliver from Metro and Loblaws. Walmart grocery can also be delivered (bags are free). Or shop at this Market to be treated as a tourist. Update:2025 Looks like this market is withering a slow demise. An odd smell, a broken door, and a neglected inventory. I was going to buy milk for my coffee, however the selection was either over priced or expired. I ended up buying milk at the base lodge cafeteria. As the Only market in the village, it makes a very poor experience Blue Mountain guests. Take the village market in Tremblant where you can buy all ingredients to prepare a meal.

It's not really a "village market" it's basically just a convenience store. It has the basics that you would expect from a convenience store, condiments, juice and other beverages, snacks, other food needs. It seems to be more well stocked with different foods than the average corner store but all in all... It's just as exciting as a convenience store. However slightly more expensive than I would have hoped and more expensive than your average grocery store. It's convenient tho! It's useful if you're u have an immediate need for ketchup..
May 26 @ 5:30pm - Worst service ever. Would give it 0 stars if I could but 1 star is the minimum. Went in to buy a pair of sandals wearing one sandal (with my broken one in my hand) because mine broke, the girl at cash kicked out and called security on me instead of letting me buy $7 pair of plastic shoes. The security guard even asked the lady several times to let me buy shoes and she still refused to serve me. The security guard then said to me I understand as this happens all the time and I dont know why she wont let you buy shoes but I have to side with her. She then came outside the store to continue to YELL AT ME in front of customers. Inside I could hear her talking about me and laughing at me with customers. A concerned customer even came outside to see if I was okay while this lady was yelling at me. I then went to Red Reef who let me in to look at shoes and was very understanding, unfortunately they didnt have my size. I then went to Colombia and the lady personally came around the counter to help me find the right size. Shoes were a bit more expensive but the service and understanding was completely worth it. I explained the situation to each store and they could not believe the girl at the Village Market would treat me like that. Both of them even said they usually send people there in similar situations since it happens quite often, and usually theres no problem. This girl just really wanted to start an argument. I am a regular at the village and I will NEVER go back to this store again and I will continue to tell my friends and family about this TERRIBLE experience. Management should seriously consider training this girl on what customer service is. There were so many ways this could have been handled.
Prices are good. One of the only convenient stores in Blue. They sell sausages sometimes that are amazing and a great deal.
Today was my first time visiting blue mountain and it was pretty good until visiting this store. I just ran in to grab a couple things for my kids and was so surprised to see the cashier yelling at another customer for trying to buy shoes because hers were broken. I dont know the whole story of what happened but I did hear the security guard saying hes sorry for her being treated so badly. At that moment I dropped my items and walked out. No paying customer should ever be treated so badly. I was completely disgusted with this cashier!! If we ever come back here I dont know if I would want to shop here. That very well could have been me, and who would go in for me to pay? Certainly not my 6 and 8 year d kids.
